Our View: The island state of Cape Verde, located off the west coast of Africa, offers a unique and opportunity for development of its tourism and real estate sectors. The Republic of Cabo Verde, its official title, comprises ten principal islands, each with its own character and potential, and is strategically positioned to take advantage of tourism.
CAPV shares were trading as high as $.65 in May before recently falling into the sub-penny range earlier this month, creating a nice bounce scenario. The company has virtually no revenue or operating expenses. What they do have is $36 million in assets.
As of November 5, 2015 the company showed 53 million shares outstanding with a public float of only 16 million shares. Reducing the number of outstanding shares from 300 million to the current level is certainly investor friendly. These CAPV shares could go higher given the level of assets the company has.
